Old Barn Siding
Old barn siding has many uses in remodel or even new construction including "original look" or lightly skimmed to create a rustic or authentic appearance in exterior and interior siding or sanded down for beautiful cabinets, flooring, ceiling boards and rustic furniture. Each board is it's own work of art and showcases a century of more of weathering and character with a texture and grain pattern you cannot find in new lumber.
Different types of Old Barn Siding
Painted Siding
Most barns were painted at one time during their life and have various shades of faded red, white, green, and we've even seen yellow. Used for exterior siding, indoor paneling, barn wood flooring, ceiling boards, and rustic furniture.
Gray Boards
Previously painted boards totally faded and weathered to gray boards. Used for exterior siding, indoor paneling, milled for barn wood flooring, trim, ceiling boards, and furniture.
Brown Barnwood
Brown Barn Wood is commonly used for Interior boards and it has a beautiful honey brown patina and often just slightly thicker than the outside siding. Used for cabinetry, barn flooring, interior siding, ceiling boards.
Rough Cut Boards
Brown to grey in appearance that have been "denailed" but in character show little black circles around multiple nail holes. These boards are commonly used for ceiling board, backwalls, accents, paneling, rustic furniture, and barnwood flooring.
